The verification and validation process represents more than fifty per cent of development time and effort for safety-critical systems and the most exciting and challenging safety-critical system of our times are autonomous vehicles.

We’ll have a limited number of opportunities for 8-12 week Internships for students as well as 6 and 12 month Internships in our Verification team, which is responsible for providing the strongest possible guarantees about the safety of our vehicles.
This could involve you working on formal verification of ML algorithms or sophisticated control systems, in-depth hazard analyses of our driving routes, ontological modelling of a Digital Highway Code, or many other exciting projects within the team that arises.
- You’ll be studying computer science, mathematics, engineering or physical sciences, with a strong mathematics content, at a top university.
- You will have direct experience in verification and validation, formal verification, interpretability of machine learning, functional safety, ontologies, or assurance as part of your studies or previous projects.
- Strong mathematical background and demonstrable programming experience in one of C/C++, Python, Scala or Java.
